Create a home organizer on a budget- with free printables

Alright you crafty Mom’s, Dad’s and Pet Parents alike. If you are anything like me, I need a little help in the organizational department of my home. Ok, ALOT of help! Running a household, while maintaining your daily job, kids activities, dinner, outings etc.. can be very overwhelming. I have tried a few, (too many) ideas and none of them stuck around past the first few weeks. It was either not simple enough, took too much time to maintain or it just didn’t make me feel organized in the end.

(Insert my ah-mazing organizer binder, that works!)

Everything I got for this binder, was from the dollar store!! ( I know, its amazing)

With the exception of printing the pages out of course. And I have to give a shout out to for creating the printables, they are amazing and easily shareable and editable! I highly suggest signing up for her updates, she creates a beautiful one each year.

So, let’s begin!

Step #1- go to local dollar store. You will need:

  1. 3 ring binder
  2. Insertable dividers w/ tabs
  3. 3 ring hole punch
  4. Fun stickers, arrows, etc..
  5. Post it’s- any shape or colder that fancies you
  6. Colored pens, I prefer gel

Step #2- Print this Yearly planner, I printed 20 additional daily planners, and 15 additional weekly planners as well as a few extra password pages and separated those out..

Step #3- Create tags for your dividers…

  • Calendar
  • Passwords
  • Daily plan
  • weekly plan
  • Notes

At the end of my organizer I put about 20 pages of scratch note paper I can write down random ideas or things I need to remember. This helps me stay on task.

Now that you have everything you need all in one place, in one book, time to fill it out!

I start with…

  1. Birthdays
  2. Special occasions already planned (weddings, baby showers etc.)
  3. Travel plans
  4. Appointments
  5. School functions
  6. Holidays

Fill in as you go, keep this book in a central part of your house that you can get to it quickly and easily. This will help you stay organized.
